Sometimes All You Can Do Is Smile

Sometimes all you can do is smile. I recently sent out an email with a link to my latest podcast. I got some responses of how true they thought that blog was. Yes, I welcome comments from creative critical thinkers. I truly want to hear the opinions of others. Sometimes you get tired of hearing yourself, right? Well, some of us welcome the thoughts and ideas of others, after all, the world does not revolve around any one individual. Hope you are not offended, but it is true. Anyway, this one particular person was so selfish as to request something that had nothing to do with the podcast but rather used the reply to request something. EEak!

Maybe this sounds like a little thing, but there are valuable lessons in it. Great lessons can come from small seemingly insignificant events. First, we are to always be open to new ideas and progressive thought. Maybe there is something that we missed and don't really know about. We will miss out because we refuse to at least consider the thing. Second, We should always do research regarding subject matter before we make decisions that could be pivotal in relationships or business. We need to get as much information as possible as to educate ourselves regarding the matter at hand. Last of all, we should realize that the world, people and circumstances can change on a dime. What may have been true or the trend yesterday, could be false or out the window today. So it is important to stay on top of the current hour.

Hey, I don't fault this person for not responding critically to my podcast. Heck, the person may not have even listened to it. I certainly expect a reply when I send an email, don't you? I always appreciate the reply to at least address the subject matter by which I sent it. Afterward addressing the subject matter, then I think it makes sense to go into other ideas or requests, am I right? This, to me is just one of those times when you should just smile. Yea, sometimes all you can do is smile.
